This project aimed to do a complete transformation of the CodeWithChris website to solidify the brand's position as the leading choice for iOS app development education.
Transform the website into a modern learning platform that embraces a sense of belonging and community.
Prior to the redesign, the website suffered from poor user navigation, site architecture, unclear messaging, and an outdated look.
Identity as the north star
Design decisions that centered around a clear identity helped us focus on what’s necessary for our audience. To get to the right answer, we asked the right question: "who are we?"

Beginners take center stage in an industry that’s young, intimidating, and ever-evolving.
It’s easy to drown in a crowded sea of online courses. As we doubled down on our newfound identity, we utilized strategic placement of social proof, credentials, and all other features that help us reinforce our messaging to our audience.
Show, don't tell
Reinforcing the newfound identity with approachable and warm visuals
Saying that you're for beginners is one thing. Showing it is another, and can make or break brand perception. As a one-man team, I used open source assets as the base for visuals like thumbnails, icons, and patterns to eventually shape a cohesive visual identity rooted on approachability.

Learning how to build iOS apps is an entirely new territory for many. To drive buyer confidence, we improved CWC’s FAQs and the segmentation of our customer messaging platform.
